This case discussion and supervision group is intended for psychotherapists and counsellors who want to further their understanding and refine their therapeutic skills in providing a Developmentally-based, Relationally-focused Integrative Psychotherapy for their clients. We will focus on the client’s unconscious relational patterns and how transference is an expression of what the client needs in the therapeutic relationship. We will also explore the psychotherapist’s reactive and responsive countertransference and how to make effective use of the therapist’s internal sensations and fantasies.
